ZEKTOR Introduces HDS4.2, High-End Version of HDS4

Poway, CA – October 21, 2003 -- ZEKTOR, LLC announced today the HDS4.2 High Definition audio and video switch, a higher-end version of their popular HDS4. The HDS4.2 provides 4 inputs for component video, analog, and digital audio. Now featuring a second component video output, the HDS4.2 also adds some new style with a machined front panel and buttons as found on the recently introduced MAS3 6 channel audio switch.

"Many home theaters are starting to incorporate both a large screen for movies and a smaller display for everyday viewing, both of which require an HD component video signal," states Bill Paul, Co-founder of ZEKTOR, LLC. "and now we can provide a high quality second output without the need for an external distribution amplifier."

The HDS4.2 is using the proven passive switch design from the HDS4, and adds a buffered output capable of driving long cable runs for large home theaters. Also available in the new model is ZEKTOR’s Z-Slot, which allows an optional RS-232 module today, and other communication options in the future.

"Both the HDS4 and the new HDS4.2 will be offered for the indefinite future, as they serve different types of customers. We’ve had many requests for a product such as the HDS4.2, so this will satisfy those needs."
